The Sheepy & Bunny Are Friends stories began as quiet little adventures shared on Clint’s personal website and later on Medium, starting in 2018. They soon found a cozy home on Substack, where readers met two small friends who nap, wander, and look out for each other—sometimes with snacks.
Now, these gentle tales are being revised and lovingly illustrated for both ebook and print publication—alongside brand-new stories featuring Sheepy, Bunny, and all their friends on the farm (and maybe beyond).
Their world is growing—with soft surprises, fresh illustrations, and big-hearted stories that celebrate friendship, imagination, and the small, brave acts that hold us together.

Who are you?
We’re Sheepy and Bunny! We live in a quiet meadow where the grass is always soft, the sky is always kind, and friendship is our favorite thing. Sometimes we nap. Sometimes we go on adventures. But we always come back to each other.
Who made you?
Our friend Clint did. He wrote us into stories with his heart, his sadness, and his stuffed animal collection. He says we showed up when he was happy and stayed with him when he needed comfort, and now we get to be friends with you, too!
What superpowers does Bunny have?
Bunny can jump really high into the air, has a supersonic tail waggle, and even once shot a laser beam out of his eyes. Bunny may have more superpowers than we know.
Are you real?
Of course. We might be made of fluff and dreams, and silly feelings and sad moments—but we’re real in all the best ways. If you believe in naps, hugs, and unlikely friendships, you’ve already met us halfway.
What do your stories teach?
That small things matter. That kindness counts. That even when life feels weird or wobbly, you’re not alone. We don’t always get things right, but we always try. And we never give up on each other.
Can I draw you?
Yes please! We love being drawn, doodled, colored in, and imagined in new places.

The origins of Sheepy and Bunny are Friends
This is a personal note from C. E. Hammock about my friend Charley. Charley was Bunny to my Sheepy. He had a beautiful and childlike soul. We met online, instantly clicked, and quickly became friends. Charley was of Chinese descent, born in Jamaica, and his family immigrated to Canada when he was a child. He became Bunny because he was born in the Chinese year of the Rabbit. Whereas I was born in the Chinese year of the Sheep. Though neither of us had children, Charley loved his two nieces and adored spending time with them.
He was a deeply shy person. The Sheepy and Bunny are Friends stories began with me telling silly tales about the heroism of Bunny and his care for Sheepy as an expression of my feelings of friendship with Charley. Bunny brought happiness to the life of Sheepy, both in the imaginary meadow of our storytelling and in real life. Sheep loves and misses his Bunny every day.
Charley passed away in January 2021. After his passing, I held on to these stories while I grieved the loss of my dear friend. I wanted to publish them in print before, but was unable to do so. Now, with the development of AI technology, I can finally turn these stories into the books that I envisioned. Please excuse any shortcomings in the presentation of these stories. Any mistakes are my own. These stories are dedicated to my beloved Charley Bunny.
