🌼 Marigold

A Meadowfolk wanderer with a complicated past in Society. She returns carrying secrets she refuses to name — until the Meadow forces her hand. Fierce, stylish, and emotionally evasive, Marigold is at the center of the story’s deepest mystery.

Known for: sunglasses, sharp instincts, hidden grief, and truths she can no longer outrun.

🌙 The Child

The glowing‑hearted mystery at the center of the suitcase. Gentle, perceptive, and far more knowing than they first appear, the Child carries a Heart‑Seed and a lineage Marigold tried to protect — or hide.

Known for: quiet wisdom, soft glow, unexpected revelations, and calling Marigold “Auntie.”

🌸 The Stranger

A visitor from Society whose allegiance remains unclear. They arrive with the floral suitcase and a message the Meadow refuses to let them deliver cleanly. Their presence signals a shift in the Meadow’s balance.

Known for: polite tension, cryptic warnings, and arriving exactly when the Meadow stirs.

🧸 The Plush Companions

🌿 Family Room Plushies

The plush companions who tend the Children’s Sanctuary and greet visitors who enter through the Caretaker’s front door. They embody warmth, welcome, and gentle household rhythm.

Hearthie

Keeper of warmth, snacks, and soft landings. Always the first to greet a visitor with a glow of welcome.

Scribbie

Scatters crayons, collects guest scrolls, and organizes the Family Room’s creative chaos.

Lullia

Sings lullabies, hums reassurance, and keeps the emotional cadence gentle.

Snugglies

A cluster of blanket soft companions who wrap children (and startled adults) in comfort.

🌸 The Maheadables and Huglets

Maheadables are living plush fruit seats cultivated in the Meadow. Round, fuzzy, and flat-topped, with faces on their sides and floppy ears, they grow from the roots of tall flower stalks. When kept indoors, they must be fed regularly to stay plump and content. When a Maheadable is especially happy, it buds a Huglet.

Huglets are tiny, round, fluffy creatures with simple faces. They nap under flowers, roll into scenes like soft punctuation marks, and embody the Meadow’s hush. They hide joy in folds and corners, waiting to be found. They emit tiny sighs and appear whenever the Meadow needs tenderness.

The senior plush companions who guide, witness, and occasionally intervene when the Meadow turns. Some are plushies, some are not, but all are bound to the Meadow’s lineage.

Queen Liz

Technically not a plushy. Regal, decisive, and the undisputed leader of the Plushie Council.

Phil the Cat

Also, not a plushy. Queen Liz’s brother. Quiet, watchful, and deeply attuned to thresholds. Sometimes Phil will manifest as a Teddy Bear in images. Nobody knows why.

Sheepy

Soft‑hearted, warm, and deeply childlike. Sheepy is the emotional barometer of the Council — the first to feel when something is wrong, the first to lean in when someone needs comfort.

Bunny
